The Youth Violence Reduction Partnership gathered youth partners, mentors, staff, well-wishers, and program partners together to celebrate the completion of their Job Readiness Program.
The event, held at The View by People for People on North Broad Street, honored more than 100 youth partners for completing the intensive six-week program that focused on self-improvement, securing employment, and how to be successful in the workplace.
PAAN facilitators, employment experts, and motivational speakers offered wisdom, insight, and support services on interviewing techniques (which touched on sensitive subjects including answering questions about their criminal history); career plans, creating and updating resumes; understanding and completing online job applications; creating professional e-mail addresses, social media etiquette; understanding employer expectations; and dressing for success and professional attire.
We hope you enjoy these moments captured in photos. Also, make sure to watch the video below for a behind the scenes look at the program that’s giving our youth a second chance.
