We currently partner with the City of Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health Disability Services (DBHIDS) and Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) to serve as a training site to teach individuals how to assist a person experiencing a behavioral health problem.
That person may face stress, depression, anxiety, relationship problems, grief, addiction, ADHD or learning disabilities, mood disorders, or other psychological concerns.
The program teaches the skills needed to identify, understand, and respond to signs and symptoms of behavioral health challenges.
In order to become certified, you must complete an interactive 8 hour course that provides an overview of the signs of behavioral health issues. This course is free of charge if you live or work in Philadelphia.
