PAAN Youth to Host 1st Album Release Party

Our Intensive Prevention Services youth partners will host their first ever album release party on Thursday!

Come and witness the creative side of our amazing young people during the “Change is Royal” event from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the West Kensington Ministry located at 2140 N. Hancock Street.

For several months our partners have diligently worked on original music for the project thanks to the creative direction of our new music facilitator, SunStarr13 of Starrrz Inc.

“He has engaged them in examinations of existing art and the creation of their own art. One of my favorite verses from a song of the album is ‘We are the ones we’ve been waiting for to take us higher day and night, we have to fight and try and make it better make it ‘aight to be our light so we shine forever’”, IPS Director Kelli Mickens said.

You’ll get a chance to witness our youth partners will perform live and discuss more about the album’s purpose. We’ll also say farewell to those who have successfully completed the IPS program.

Everyone is invited. Light refreshments will be served.

We hope to see you there!

Here are some pictures of our youth partners hard at work during rehearsals!
